New York
City is about to receive the world’s first jolt of VIDOCITY.
The new Internet-based television show that explores the best destinations
in the New York area is set to launch throughout the week of April 10-14,
with three brand-new episodes available each morning at 9:00 AM ET.
Airing each Monday through Friday
at www.vidocity.com, the program
gives viewers access to the Big Apple’s wide world of entertainment and
pop culture, with exclusive, beautifully-produced, television broadcast-quality
segments covering nightclubs, restaurants, the theater, boutiques and music
venues. If it is happening in the New York City area, VIDOCITY will
tell – and show -- viewers about it. Available 24 hours a day on
the Web, VIDOCITY is a one-stop resource for all the city has to offer
-- as seen through the eyes of a team of young and spirited reporters who
track down the ultimate in entertainment and pop culture.
With new segments premiering
each morning at 9:00 AM, five days a week, VIDOCITY will entertain and
inform in an extremely user-friendly fashion, offering viewers the ability
to pick and choose the stories they wish to view and the order in which
they view them. All segments remain on the site, archived for future
reference as long as the content is relevant.
Each segment is hosted by one
of VIDOCITY’s talented young on-air reporters. The site’s on-air
team is led by anchor Tiffany Simons, who joins the site from NBC Sports.
Simons came to New York from West Palm Beach, where she was Associate Producer
at the local CBS affiliate station. VIDOCITY field reporters include
Michael Hundgen, Jennifer Scheer, Kim Hamilton, Richard Jordan and Jessica
Caban.
“VIDOCITY is like the best city
guide you’ve ever seen – but brought to life with all the sights and sounds
of each spot we visit,” said Creator and Executive Producer John Tomlin.
“It’s video about the city, and the fact that we present brand-new episodes
every weekday immediately establishes VIDOCITY as the first Internet show
broadcasting at this high level. These are not ‘grab-and-run’ snippets.
We are producing high-quality daily presentations hosted by talented and
attractive hosts who are on their way to big careers.”
John Tomlin, VIDOCITY’s Creator
and Executive Producer, is a two-time Emmy Award winner who has enjoyed
a long and successful television production career. He has produced
numerous hit series, including “Inside Edition,” “A Current Affair,” “Shipmates,”
“Judge Mills Lane” and “Style Court.” Tomlin is joined in this endeavor
by Pamela P. Hadden, Vidocity.com Senior Producer. Hadden comes to
VIDOCITY from the syndicated talk arena, where she earned two Emmy Award
nominations for producing “The Montel Williams Show.” She also produced
“Maury Povich” and was an on-air Features Reporter for Turner Sports’ “Goodwill
Games.”
Unlike some Web-based sites,
VIDOCITY’s recommendations are based solely on merit and editorial consideration.
Segments cannot be bought by destinations wishing to heighten awareness;
however, inquires and requests for editorial review are always considered
by VIDOCITY producers.
